\ud83d\udca8 Guadeloupe \u2014 C\u2019est en 2006 qu\u2019est construite la premi\u00e8re centrale g\u00e9othermique des Cara\u00efbes. D\u2019une capacit\u00e9 de 4,5 MW, elle se situe \u00e0 15 km du volcan de la Grande Soufri\u00e8re sur des mar\u00e9cages et des sources d\u2019eau chaudes bouillonnantes qui ont donn\u00e9 son nom \u00e0 la ville. En 2005, avec la hausse du co\u00fbt des \u00e9nergies fossiles et la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de d\u00e9velopper le renouvelable, d\u00e9cision est prise de construire Bouillante 2, d\u2019une puissance de 11 MW. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ni transport, ni stockage de polluants, ni chaudi\u00e8re<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf21\ufe0f Ce type de centrale ne produit pas de CO2 mais une \u00e9nergie disponible en permanence et non tributaire des conditions climatiques, comme le vent ou le soleil. Elle ne n\u00e9cessite ni transport, ni stockage de substances polluantes, ni chaudi\u00e8re comme c\u2019est le cas d\u2019une centrale thermique. Sa chaudi\u00e8re, c\u2019est la terre, avec des puits de 500 \u00e0 1\u00a0000 m de profondeur qui font remonter \u00e0 la surface un fluide diphasique, m\u00e9lange d\u2019eau et de vapeur sous pression, \u00e0 169\u00a0\u00b0C. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2699\ufe0f Un s\u00e9parateur envoie la vapeur vers une turbine dont elle active les h\u00e9lices, entra\u00eenant ainsi l\u2019alternateur, \u00e9norme dynamo qui produit de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, tandis que l\u2019eau est r\u00e9inject\u00e9e sous terre pour p\u00e9renniser la ressource. Un d\u00e9sagr\u00e9ment tout de m\u00eame\u00a0: une odeur d\u2019oeuf pourri que la centrale limite gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un syst\u00e8me d\u2019oxydation thermique. Actuellement, Bouillante 1 et Bouillante 2 couvrent 7\u00a0% du mix \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de la Guadeloupe, soit la consommation \u00e9lectrique annuelle de 20\u00a0000 foyers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bouillante 3 en construction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udcca Une prochaine unit\u00e9 de production, Bouillante 3, devrait permettre d\u2019accro\u00eetre la production de 10 MW. D\u2019autres projets sont en cours de d\u00e9veloppement tout le long de l\u2019arc antillais, \u00e0 la Dominique, Montserrat, Sainte-Lucie et la Martinique, avec l\u2019espoir que la g\u00e9othermie exp\u00e9riment\u00e9e \u00e0 la Guadeloupe puisse repr\u00e9senter jusqu\u2019au tiers du mix \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique des Cara\u00efbes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
